Nashikites soak in the devotional tradition of Wari

turned vibrant and colourful as the Palakhi of Sant Nivrutinath visited the city and became a sight for sore eyes for Nashikites as soaked in the tradition of

wari

. The procession is one of the most colorful and lively pilgrimage of Maharashtra. Lakhs of pilgrims march together for days with a common aim to see a sight of Lord Pandurang. Citizens engaged in various activities along the palkhi marg. They participated in singing devotional songs and bhajans along with the devotees or pilgrims. Nashikites from the palkhi marg not only participated in the pilgrimage but also helped warkaries in various ways. Considering plastic ban, the organisers made sure that there is no plastic use in decoration of the plakhi. The palkhi brought life to the various areas of the city where citizens were seen meeting and engage in various activities.
