Eco awareness program held in Nashik
Students of Progressive Education Society's Abhinav Adarsha High School recently participated in an awareness session that spoke about how to celebrate festivals, without hampering the environment.
Citing the example of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi, activist Shashikant Pagare explained to the students that one can use shadu clay idols, instead of ones made from Plaster of Paris, as the latter can cause damage to the environment.

Other experts were also present on the occasion, who threw light on the many ways in which one can contribute to the environment. Yogesh Barve stressed on why it's important that each student plant a tree, and cautioned them to not waste water or use plastic bags in their daily life.
