A play on Dharmanati wins the hearts of Nashikites

Antim Kirnapasun Suryachay Pratham Kirnaparyant, a Marathi play, which was organised by

Maharashtra Times

Cultural Club, was recently staged at

Kalidas Kalamandir

. The play which has been directed by

Satish Kothekar

features actors like Pallavi Odhekar, Sonali Gaikwad, Manisa Shirsath, Ravindra Katare, and others. The play is based on the concept of Dharmanati where a queen who is unable to bear a child from her king, chooses another man from the period between sunset to sunrise so that she can get pregnant.
The couple decides to follow the concept in order to be blessed with a child, which follows a series of incidents taking in their lives. It also depicts how the king and the queen cope with the situations that arise because of their decision. The show got huge response from Nashikites who also applauded the performance of the artistes.
