Taking over the charge as the president was Anurag Pashine from the outgoing president Piyush Daga at the Annual General Meeting of the Nagpur Round Table 83. The tablers seemed quite gung ho about the new era, with new responsibilities at hand. Speaking to us, Anurag said, "Bonding over food and drinks, we will be taking up as many social causes as we can.
This is our way of service through fellowship."
Oldie at 40? This occasion was also a goodbye time for Rahul Dalmiya, who has turned 40. We were informed that the age-limit for members in the club is 40 as the tablers call it a 'young' organisation. Rahul said, "It's such an emotional moment for me to leave. But, the experience has been phenomenal, and I'll stay in touch with all my friends!"
Felicitation time
Over cocktails, a felicitation round took place. Kartik Shukul won the best attendance award. Piyush felicitated Anurag and wife Pallavi for being the best tabling couple. Adding some fun element to the do, a few tablers did an act where they mimicked their outgoing president Piyush's signature styles.
Many couples seemed to be in a rush as most of their children had school the next day. The current president too seemed in a rush, being the host.
