Heart-wrenching tale enthralled Nagpur’s theatre aficionados

A Marathi play

Vyakti aani Valli

was recently staged at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. Nagpur’s theatre buffs enjoyed a mélange of various characters and their eccentricities. Theatrical adaption of a book penned by legendary litterateur P L Deshpande, the rib-tickling play — directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni — had popular names from Marathi film and theatre world in the star cast. Actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar, Sunil Barve, Bhau Kadam, Anand Ingale etc. swept the audience off their feet with their impeccable comic timing and strong dialogue delivery. Needless to say, the auditorium reverberated with loud applause when the show ended.
