Deepshikha Das performs Bharatnatyam Arangetram at this event in Nagpur

Elegance and gracility were the words which best defined the Bharatnatyam Arangetram of Deepshikha Das, which brought quite a few dance gurus from various parts of India and classical dance lovers of the city under one roof.
Deepshikha's father, Surojit Das who was mighty happy about the whole affair said, "Arangetram is not only the first public performance of a trained dancer but it is also a test of stamina and the training you've had over the years.My daughter has been learning dance for 12 years now and watching her perform makes me very proud of her!" As the three hour long performance started, people were seen enjoying it even as they were left bewildered with the beautiful expressions and the strong postures of the performer. Among these were Shiv Kanoria, Dr Ravinder Singal, Vilas Kale and Vijay Patni who were all praises for the show. Vijay said, "I've never attended any type of classical dance show ever before this. But this being the show of my close friend, Surojit's daughter, I was looking forward to it. It was a mesmerizing experience. I am certainly going to attend classical shows on a more regular basis now!"
