Little Ishan, who made Aamir’s “Taare Zameen Par” a heart-tugging, poignant film, has grown up. At the press conference for his upcoming “Zokkomon”, the 14-year old Darsheel Safary was not only the star attraction (there were also actress Manjari Fadnis and director Satyajit Bhatkal), but Darsheel held fort like a seasoned star. He gave all the right bytes, told everyone he loves Delhi, loves to come here again and again, flashed V signs, smiled, and when asked to compare “Ra.One” and his film, retorted, “I think we’re here to promote my film, can we talk about “Ra.One” when the film releases?” Neat or what!
But when the camera wasn’t on, he did have his little kid moments with his mother, who accompanied him.
When everyone was leaving, for a moment, Darsheel couldn’t see his mom in the bheed. “Mom, where are you?” he spun around, looking for her, even as his mom caught up with him, and said, “I’m right here, Darsh”, and adjusted his hair just as he wanted it to be. A star... but just a kid!
