Zarine Khan's exclusive photoshoot for Zulekha Shariff's new clothing line in Mumbai

Zulekha Shariff, a self-inspired designer, grew up in India and spent her better part of life in Bandra. She found that the place was a perfect mix of old-world customs and modern values. And these — her social influence and heritage — are what she is inspired by to create her designs. For her wedding in 2002, Zulekha worked out two sketches for her bridal wear.
Her husband, Juned Shariff, was so impressed with them that he suggested she become a fashion designer. Her designs and craftsmanship are traditional, and she creates unique styles and cuts that flatter the feminine silhouette. Made in exquisite fabrics, her clothes are refined, elegant and classic. She believes a woman’s attire is a reflection of her personality. As part of her brand building, Zulekha will soon open a showroom in Bandra. She also recently launched a new clothing line, for which Zarine Khan did an exclusive photoshoot. Also spotted at the do were Renu Chainani, Mandira Bedi, Shaheen Abbas, Zeenat Khan, Sobhita Dhulipala (Miss India Earth 2013), Alankrita Sahai (Miss Diva Earth 2014), Gail Da Silva (Miss India United Continent 2014), Prachi Thadhani, Alistair Woodham and Kiran Bawa.
