Sanjay Gupta unveiled the promo of his forthcoming film, 'Shootout At Wadala' with a real stunt at a suburban mall. The action began with two groups of men charging at each other, armed with tubelights, rods and hockey sticks, enacting a gang-war. Next, a backup ‘gang’ arrived in the form of a jeep with armed men firing at their ‘rivals’, followed by their leader, gangster Manya Surve (played by John Abraham), just as a car ahead of him was blown up.

He seemed to walk the path of fire literally as the blazing stunt ended. Referring to it as a ‘career-defining’ film, John enthused about how it inspired him to work harder. Gupta and his producer Ekta Kapoor launched the trailer in five cities simultaneously — Anil Kapoor in Delhi, Manoj Bajpai in Lucknow, Tusshar Kapoor in Ahmedabad and Sonu Sood in Hyderabad — with action at all the venues.
