festival

in the city featured ceramic works by over 25 artists. Titled Cerafest 2018, the

exhibition

was held at Coomarswamy Hall, Prince of Walls Museum (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya).A source says, “This was the fifth annual

show

of celebration of Studio Pottery in its finest sense of creativity. The Studio Pottery is an individual approach to the

art

of ceramics. Each artist creates the work personally with passion and efforts. Every year, 25 studio potters come together to host the show. Cerafest was concieved with two objectives -- to promote ceramics in utility and art form to give a platform to upcoming artists/potters to showcase their work. Every year, we make sure to introduce a few new artists along with some from other states. We also conducted a workshop at the museum, prior to the show, only for non-potters.”Various artists who participated in the show were Shalan Dere, Vanmala Jain, Sejal Sethi, Sultana khan, Ajay Abhyankar, Bhavana Palrecha, Harish Shah, Karishma Rodriguez, Khusboo Madnani, Kunal Ukey, Manasvi Mhatre, Naresh Kesharwani, Om Prakash Galav, Pavan Bhaviskar, Rashmi Mane, Sandeep Manchekar, Sejal Mody, Shayonti Salvi, Shruti Manwatkar, Tejashree Sagvekar, Tejashri Patil Pradhan, Tejasvi Chaphekar Lokhande, Uma Sawhny, Uttara Heble and Veena Singh.
