Vishal Bharadwaj gave tribute to Jagjit Singh

Friends of Jagjit Singh came together to remember the ghazal maestro, who passed away in September 2011.
Salim Arif put together this touching tribute for Jagjit, who would have turned 71 tomorrow. Bhupinder Singh, who knew Jagjit since their struggling days had many interesting anecdotes to share. The singer was joined by wife Mitali Singh.
While he and Mitali paid tribute through some soulful numbers, Gulzar recited some beautiful verses in the memory of his friend. Vishal and Rekha Bharadwaj, Lubna Salim and Javed Siddiqui were also present here. Jagjit’s wife Chitra also put in a rare appearance. The evening ended with Bhupinder singing a song composed in the memory of Singh.
