, the organisers for the event, decided to do this unique thing this year for the first time. They invited more than 50 students from
Salaam Bombay
Foundation to the venue.
Rajubhai Shah one of the organisers who spearheaded this unique idea shared, “We have been celebrating Navratri here since 43 years and this year to bring in a new josh we decided to invite our young well-wishers from nearby BMC schools associated with Salaam Bombay Foundation to enjoy the festival in its truest sense. The colour of the day was orange which signifies
energy and
happiness and we saw the children high on energy and full of happiness dancing to beats of the music. This truly made our day."
Aakash Thakkar founder of the band Goonjj, who was on stage throughout with his musicians shared, "We believe in inclusivity and it was a wonderful feeling seeing the kids dancing their heart out and enjoying the music. Seeing their excitement from the stage, motivated the team to play more and more and we ensured that his would be the best Navratri they have ever witnessed!”
“Being the first time that our academy of arts students got this opportunity, we feel blessed to have witnessed the first day of Navratri. The evening was one of the best for all our students and it is something we are going to cherish for a long time, said Vidur Dhabaria, who brought everything together.
