The power of youth
Umang 2009, in association with Bombay Times reached for more, and how!
Among the many events at the festival were Mr & Ms. Umang, Dancer Hunt, Shadow Dance and Pantomine, which went down a storm with the students and participants alike. Sameera Reddy, who has lost oodles of weight, judged the Mr & Ms.
Umang event. Being at the festival, she said, was a sort of homecoming for her as she hailed from this college.
1x1 polls
Among the many styles of dance performed at the Dancer Hunt, Bollywood dances proved to be the most popular, with many in the audience also breaking out into spontaneous dance.
Shadow Dance saw students get in touch with their dark side as they strove to create different visual effects using the interplay of shadows. The spunky duo Shaair and Func also performed at the festival, unleashing their offbeat sounds on listeners. All in all, a splendid time was had by all.
