Sukhwinder jams with journalism students in Mumbai

Singer Sukhwinder Singh spent time with the post-graduation journalism and mass communications students at Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) recently. The singer spent two hours as part of a mock press conference, which was conducted to give the students a hands-on experience of interviewing a real-life celebrity.
“I usually get intimidated when I have to address students from a college.But I feel honoured to be part of your journey. I’m looking forward to the day when you all will turn real-life journalists and interview me for a newspaper/channel,” said Sukhwinder, who responded to over 15 questions by the students.
The singer spoke about his favourite composer AR Rahman, what inspired him to get into music and the #MeToo campaign, among other things. Talking about the campaign, he praised women who have spoken up against the perpetrators. “It’s shameful that you force somebody in exchange of giving them work. I am shocked with the names that have come out, and completely empathise with the ladies who have spoken up against the guilty. It’s important to tell such stories. We call our country and treat women like this. It’s upsetting,” said Sukhwinder, who also jammed with the students. He sang songs like , , and
