Last week, students of Jai Hind College organised a live fusion music event at The Habitat, Khar. Called ‘Fused’, the line-up consisted of names like
Kanishk Seth, Fairy and Jazz, Fallopian Dudes along with some newcomers. There were a total of six main acts and three solo/duo artists who followed a mellow acoustic theme. The event saw some of the most talented artists in the Mumbai college scene.
The student society is a platform dedicated for the promotion of diverse music genres by stimulating music education and cultivating a music culture in the community.

The audience at the event
For the event, each act was a combination of two or more genres, and created a unique fusion of sounds. Started by two SYBMM students – Hrideep Barot and Shaurya Pandit – of the SoBo College, this society is two-year-old now and has conducted several such events across the city. A platform for upcoming and undiscovered artists, the gigs and workshops have helped in developing and enhancing the skills and portfolio of budding college musicians.
