Stars let their hair down
From film glamazons to top cops and docs, the Mumbai Mirror party was the talk of the town on Thursday night. Heres your lowdown...
It was the baap of all parties. Glitterati and gate-crashers, busy bees and the wannabes, all rubbed shoulders in the free-flowing revelry that was the Mumbai Mirror bash at Lands End on Thursday. Bappi Lahiri set the tone by arriving and insisting that the DJ play his chartbusters so that he may boogie before he left.

He didnt boogie, but his tracks had everyone stuck to the dance floor.
There was some seething competition from the music directors present as well: Pritam, Anu Malik and Sajid Wajid all graced the occasion. Farah Khan led the directors brigade. She dropped in early to wish everybody. Adding further pace to the zippy evening was the Race crew: producers Ramesh Taurani and director duo Abbas-Mustan were in the fast lane indeed at this happening bash.
There were excited discussions about the sequel, which incidentally will not feature Anil Kapoor. Raveena dazzled the crowd with her ravishing looks. The black saree complemented her svelte frame, and she even spoke of her comeback. Kangana Ranaut had Bobby Darling mesmerised; she met her for the first time.
The actor-director jodi of Jail, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Madhur Bhandarkar, rocked it at the bash, with Bhandarkar being hounded by actor aspirants. Rajeev Khandelwal was has usual suave self; his trick to stave off the calories is actually cycling to the event itself. Its certainly working wonders for him. A genuine Sach Ka Saamna did occur; when Raja Chaudhary told our scribe that he was off drinks, Khandelwal merely tapped his shoulder and said, At least in front of me you should not be saying such things, evoking guffaws on both sides.

Atul Kulkarni walked in late but bonded quite terrifically with Neil and Randeep Hooda. Hooda could not stop raving about Atuls role in Yeh Mera India. The entire team of Sikandar dropped in after their own premiere. Sudhir Mishra, Piyush Jha, Arunoday Singh, and Ayesha Kapoor were some of the crew members who doubled the fun. Sohail Khan made his entry with buddy Vatsal Sheth, and were seen catching up with old friends like Ravi Kishen and Manoj Bajpai.
Cops and Docs
Adding further dhamaka to the bash were star cops; Additional Commissioner (Anti-Terrorism Squad) Paramvir Singh, and Additional Commissioner (Crime Branch) Deven Bharti and Additional Commissioner (West Region) Amitabh Gupta . Top members from the medical fraternity too were present here: Dr Amit Maydeo (gastroenterologist), Ramakant Panda (heart surgeon), Nandita Palshetkar (IVF expert), Rishma Dhillon-Pai (gynaecologist), Hrishikesh Pai (IVF expert), Dr. Gustad Davar (surgeon) and Dr. Rekha Davar (gynaecologist) were some names who mingled with the invitees.
All in all, it was a zingy affair.
