SRK with his team at Eden Gardens

The support for Sachin and Team Mumbai was evident at Eden Gardens on Sunday. As the ship carrying the Knights and SRK went down, posters like “God wanted to play cricket, then Sachin was born” went up, turning the Knights’ homeground into a temple for the God of Cricket.
The expression on Shah Rukh Khan’s face, reminded one of the perpetual expression he had on in “Swades”, a look of wistful longing, as if, saying, “Wish I weren’t here!” No amounts of pom-pom waving by ‘junglee billi’ Priyanka Chopra could brighten his mood! Later, SRK was joined in the outfield by the cast of “Always Kabhie Kabhie”.
Young actors Ali, Satyajeet, Giselli and Zoa were seen on the field with director Roshan Abbas. “I am a frustrated sportsman and film star, that’s why I want these youngsters to do well in life,” SRK was heard saying. Some consolation, eh?
