Soha Ali Khan, who set pulses racing as she drew out the names of the horses for the race on Sunday.
The activity was well attended by the owners, trainers and jockeys who had entered their respective horses in the much anticipated Kingfisher Derby. This was followed by the most awaited Kingfisher Pre-Derby Nite — a ‘Casino Royale’ style party. The Kingfisher Pre-Derby Nite, a prelude to Derby Day, was celebrated with élan and took everyone to dizzying heights. With the country’s best ale to sip on and scintillating performances by jazz musician Amit Heri and DJ Whosane, the evening marked the start of the Kingfisher Derby. Later, the crowd swung into party mode at Hotel Taj Westend which saw the crème de la crème of the city celebrating a night of power, fashion and speed. Spotted at the do were Manoviraj Khosla, Raj, Neetu, Ramesh dembla, Anita Kholay, Sheetal, Rahul dev, Waseem Khan, Partho, Vibhinita, Roshini and Padmini Ravi amongst various other people.
Underlining its signature style of unparalleled thrill with a dash of glamour, The Kingfisher Derby 2011 will be held today at the Bangalore Turf Club.
