Politico and eminent author Jaswant Singh���s ambitious and much-in-the-news book on Jinnah was being celebrated at a SoBo fivestar, accompanied by a panel discussion about the same. Singh, who has authored 18 books so far, revealed about his current subject ��� ���It���s about an intricate complex personality who had great determination.���

Mahesh Bhatt, historian Sunil Khilnani and legal eagle Raian Karanjiawala.
Bhatt spoke about feeling affiliated to the book because it describes a world he grew up in and admitted that while it does raise some uncomfortable questions, at times, such questions are necessary to keep a civilization from stagnating. Khilnani spoke at length about the socio-political developments that have shaped the world as it is today, while Karanjiawala, who was friendly with Jinnah���s grandson and had also met the boy���s mother, narrated vignettes about Jinnah���s formidable and impressive personality from his interactions with the two. Some lesser-known facets about Jinnah ��� such as his dream of becoming an actor and how he refused to part with his Mumbai house despite being offered a princely sum for it ��� were also revealed to the select gathering of guests during the memorable evening.
