This is when he picked up a paint brush and started to express himself, guided by his mentor artist Kisalay Vora.
There was a palpable energy about the exhibition, that all attendees attested to. Suril expressed his delight on the magical transformation of the hospital lobby, to an art gallery. However, the happiest clearly, were the regular visitors to the hospital.
At the event, Nandita said, “Suril’s work is like him - spontaneous, sensitive and free-spirited. He plays with colour and form with abandon to create works that express his inner most self. And that is why his work speaks to everyone.”
Dr Ramakanta Panda from the heart institute said, "It is a therapeutic experience for patient’s relatives to be surrounded by such powerful art. Initially, we were supposed to have the show only till 6th October- but we extended it by public demand."
