Shabana Azmi's birthday party!

When you are 60, things can be pretty sexy. Well, it was certainly the sexiest party of the season as Shabana Azmi celebrated her 60th birthday with a merry mix of friends, family and the film fraternity at this new hip, hop and happening nightclub in town.
It was Saturday night fever with the Bollywood brigade trooping in at regular intervals, all sporting fabulous or funky headgear - for that was the specified theme for this rocking party.Shabana’s gal pals, Parna (best friend for decades), Shahana Goswami and her sister-in-law Tanvi orchestrated the whole affair that turned out to be a night to remember. Meeting and greeting each and every guest, shaking a leg on the dance floor and flouting her hot pink headgear was the birthday girl, who looked sweet 16.
Hubby Javed Akhtar pepped up the proceedings while son Farhan Akhtar mingled with the many guests. It was a full-throttle Bollywood buzz with the presence of the Bachchans, the enigmatic Rekha, Dia Mirza, Amrita Rao, Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Farah Khan, David Dhawan, Yash Chopra, Rakesh Roshan, Tabu, Zeenat Aman, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Naseeruddin with wife Ratna Pathak Shah, Rhea Kapoor... whew!
And the grand guest list continues with Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Ashok Gundecha with daughters Neha and Minal, Alyque Padamsee and daughter Shazahn, Ritu Kumar, Anita Dongre who demonstrated that she can dance with joy and Rashmi Uday Singh who sported a cowboy hat. Everyone enjoyed the cool cocktails and the hot pan Asian spread.
