Salman Khan shows his support for Marathi film Janiva at an event held in Mumbai

Salman Khan, who has a close relationship with filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar, turned up for an event to show his support to the Marathi film Janiva, which means realisation. The film tells the story of a young boy, Sameer Deshpande (Satya Manjrekar), who is sensitive and believes in helping others.
He and his friends are part of a rock band that donate the proceeds of their shows to charity.On one occasion, he learns about the injustice done to Asawari Patil, a rape victim. Her grave medical condition makes him question the system that allows the culprit to roam free while the victim is left in a vegetative condition. Eventually, he takes things in his own hands and fights for justice. Produced by Milind Vishnu, Arvind Kumar, Reshama Vishnu and Srman Jain, and presented by Angel’s Production and Blue Eye Productions, Janiva releases on July 31.
