Salim, Sulaiman at Ashwin's musical do

Ashwin Srinivasan had all the reasons to celebrate on Tuesday night. The young musician couldn’t have been more grateful as a number of musical world biggies attended a do to congratulate him on his new venture.
Salim and Sulaiman Merchant gamely posed for the shutterbugs while the reticent Mahalaxmi Iyer made it a point to attend this musical do. And musical it was, as Ashwin and his band performed to a packed house.Loud applause and cheers greeted them at the end, with Kailash Kher clapping the loudest.
And although Kiran Rao almost missed the performance as she arrived a bit late for the party, she was full of praises for Ashwin with whom she’s worked earlier. The masti continued as everyone was either overheard discussing music or humming Ashwin’s songs. Now this is what we call a truly entertaining night!
