There’s a lot one can do to bust stress and learn something new. And a bunch of Mumbaikars took up a fun, creative class where they learnt dot painting, recently. Held at Happy House Kitchen, Girgaon, it got them to bring their arty sides out.
Why dots are such fun to make
Participants during the event
Participants during the event Dots painting is not just about making dots of various sizes.
Educationist from Grant Road Chinmaya Dani, who tried this on ceramic for the first time, found it very interesting. “A friend told me about the class. I had something like this previously on canvas. I went in for it as you get to play with colour and it’s very therapeutic. In three hours that you do this, you basically lose track of time and forget any worries you may have. Dots seem simple, but there’s a lot to them – their thickness, gradation, types of circles and colour mixing as well as the background – it all requires creativity. I’d definitely try this again,” she says.
