Mirchi KAAN Awards in Mumbai

Some made you laugh, some made you snigger and many of them made you smile.
And at the 6th Mirchi KAAN Awards on Friday night, the makers of some of these radio commercials were the ones who were smiling happily for the cameras as they got felicitated for them. 750 entries from the creative agencies across the country competed for top honours in 15 categories, with the theme being ‘Vote against Mediocrity’.
The do was hosted by comedian Vir Das who brought the house down with his humourous accounts of the Union Elections 2009. The gala evening celebrations were attended by leading members of the media and advertising industry. Prahlad Kakar wore his thinking hat and attended the do and was seen having a good laugh with Prasoon Joshi and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Suchitra Pillai, looking hot in a short dress, caught up with Roshan Abbas. Pradeep Sarkar and Shaina NC were also spotted here.
