At Amrita Kak’s mehendi ceremony, we caught up with a new Kat, fascinated by everything she saw.Be it the henna designs on numerous hands or the dance session by the ladies,
Katrina Kaif watched everything like a curious young girl. Occasionally smiling to herself, she seemed to be really enjoying the mehendi ceremony of tourism minister Bina Kak’s daughter, Amrita.
The actress must be used to signing autographs, but during the mehendi ceremony, she busied herself writing down the names of her fans on their hands with henna. Dressed in a white and black salwar kameez, she looked simple yet elegant.
It was quite evident that she just wanted to keep away from her fans and the flash bulbs as she stuck to Amrita’s side most of the time.
Fascinated by the way henna was being applied, Katrina insisted on drawing henna patterns on Bina Kak’s hand too. “I have to copy the design on my own palm, as I don’t know much about these designs.
But it’s really interesting. I wish I could get it done on both my hands, but I have many shoots lined up immediately after the wedding, so I don’t want to make the henna too obvious,” she said.
The pretty lady was surely in the mood for enjoying the ceremony to the fullest. And after the henna and haldi ceremonies, she seems all set to welcome the baraat today.
Katrina had flown down to the city specially for Amrita’s wedding with Delhi based industrialist Riju Jhunjhunwala today. And she excitedly told every guest at the henna ceremony that she had been eagerly waiting for the wedding. “I think it is the first time that I am attending a Rajasthani wedding and it’s fantastic to observe all the traditions.
I have attended a few Indian weddings, but this is surely special. I am enjoying it thoroughly,” said the actress while Bina Kak waved to her signalling that she might join her for a dance later, once her henna was dry.
