Bangaloreans who are looking to revamp their homes now have one more option to check out. Century Plyboards (I) Ltd. recently announced its foray into the readymade furniture retail business by launching Nesta Furniture, a chain of complete home lifestyle solutions for discerning Indian audiences across the country. The 6,000 sq. feet store in Koramangala was launched by Sajjan Bhajanka, Chairman, Century Plyboards (I) Limited, along with Bollywood actor Karisma Kapur. On the occasion of the launch, Sajjan said, “Retail business in India is at an interesting stage. Our latest venture in the readymade furniture retail business is a move up the value chain and a natural progression in the wood products category. We are keen to leverage the company’s experience and strengths in retailing the finished end product. Centuryply will have flagship stores in key markets and also adopt a franchise model to tap other markets."
The announcement of the Bangalore store is the first in a series of furniture retail stores to be launched across the country. Nesta envisages the creation of 3.5 million square feet of retail space with 111 outlets in the next five years. They also aim to provide stylish, authentic and exclusive wooden furniture and home decor accessories to the Indian customers, thereby helping them create their dream homes.
The company has also been associated with international designers like Patricia Urquiola, Indian architects like Karan Grover and young design talents from Chile like Sebastian Rozas and Matias Bravos.
