Jhoom barabar jhoom!

ALL SMILES: Lara Dutta (TOI Photo) Channel 9X from the media house INX media launched its unique reality venture Mission Ustad, and it was all song and some dance for the guests present there.

The judges for the show — lyricist Javed Akhtar (who claimed to be pleased to be judging another set of talent altogether), Lara Dutta, who represents the UN, and the reclusive music maestro A R Rahman
who was all smiles at this ‘North Indian telly-debut of his’ seemed most excited to be part of the evening.
And the participants were none other than noted singers like Roopkumar and Sunali Rathod, Mahalaxmi, Naresh Aiyyer, Kailash Kher (who created some fun moments on stage!) and Shweta Pandit.
Laughter and loads of gaana-bajaana took centrestage, but the evening ended on a slightly note with Sunali exhorting everyone to pledge to make India a better place.
