Jamming for Lisa Ray

There was live singing, strutting of guitars and bonhomie galore at Meldan D���Cunha���s SoBo restaurant last week.
It was a Spanish evening, and Shibani Kashyap and Jimmy Felix took centrestage, putting up a fantastic impromptu act in tribute to Lisa Ray���s beauty and strength. ���I was with Lisa just a few days ago in Toronto. We travelled together for five days and had a ball of a time.The news of her illness has come as a jolt to me. It���s unbelievable, so here���s the song Killing Me Softly straight from my heart,��� quipped Shibani before taking to the mike. Jimmy, too, hopped on to the dias and sang Hotel California as guests cheered the duo on.
Among the onlookers was another singer, Chin2 Bhosle, who had come with his wife Aditi and child-in-arms. Raell Padamsee was there, too, enjoying the Goan fare. And when Shibani and Jimmy took time off to indulge in some gupshup and khana, Mumbai band Viva Los Amigos played some Spanish and English numbers well into midnight. A cheerful evening that got louder and merrier by the hour.
