Honouring women achievers

The 12thKelvinatorGR8! Women Awards was held in the city, where dignitaries from various fields attended the event. Among others, we spotted ShobhaKhote, BhavanaBalsawar, Ramesh and SeemaDeo, and AjinkyaDeo.
The awardees included ShakuntalaDevi who received the Golden Laurel award. The Lifetime Achievement award was given to veteran actress MalaSinha, while the Golden Laurel – Cinema award was conferred upon SulochanaDevi. AlkaYagnik received the Coolest Woman award. The ladies were awarded by AnirudhDhoot, director, Videocon and VenugopalDhoot, chairman of the brand.
Mamata Banerjee was awarded for her achievement in politics; although she didn’t make it for the ceremony. Other awardees included Farah Khan, Asin, Seema Deo, Tina Dutta, Disha Vakani, Deepika Singh, Reema Kagti, Neeta and Nishka Lulla and Raveena Tandon. The evening saw performances by Prachi Desai, Zarine Khan and Gauhar Khan.
