Hair styling and make-up awards night!

Everyone seemed to be having a good hair night on Saturday as makeup artistes and hairstylists to the stars, Bharat and Dorris Godambe, presented the second season of their Hair Styling and Make-Up Awards at JW Marriott.
Needless to say, the Bollywood brigade was in full force and the biggest of all was the Big B. Yes, Amitabh Bachchan, looking dapper in a striped suit, was guest of honour at this prestigious awards.There was much flurry across the red carpet as guests trooped in one by one, or two by two.
Among the very first star guests to arrive was Sonali Kulkarni who smiled sweetly to the cameras and the crowd gathered. Ashutosh Gowarikar in a crisp white shirt was next and he joined Sonali and they chatted as they waited for the arrival of the other guests. The two, incidentally, were on the jury panel that also included names like Shabana Azmi, Dabboo Ratnani, Arbaaz Khan, Sachin Khedekar, Subhash Ghai and Neeta Lulla (who also designed the performers’ costumes). Then came Prem Chopra and Yash Chopra. Then there was Boman Irani who interacted with everyone.
Looking resplendent in a shining sari was Rakshanda Khan, host of the night that included passionate performances by Yuvika Chaudhary, Shweta Bharadwaj and Nigaar Khan. The event was made possible with the support of lead partner Emami and awards concept and event partner Bharat and Dorris. The entire event was conceptualised, managed and executed by Wow Entertainment and Media while the judges were Jamuna Pai, Leena Mogre, Reza Sharif, Rohit Verma, Sher Bahadur Singh, Madhav Kadam, Ravi Indulkar, Pandhari Jhukar and Mouli Ganguly.
