Got the seven-year pitch?

It was kicking karaoke all the way on Thursday night at the party that celebrated seven years of manic Mondays at this suburban eatery and bar.
They called it the seven-year pitch and host Meldan D���Cunha and wife Glynis made sure that all the regulars rocked and rolled as the songs lit up the big screen. The superb selection of songs (Spanish, Latino, Mexican and English) in between the karaoke ones made you shake your body to the beat.
And shaking her body, and also singing with passion, was Shveta Salve who was accompanied by boyfriend Rodney Barnes. She bonded with Joyce Arora, mother of Malaika and Amrita Arora (who were missing in action). But making her presence felt was another actress, Saumya Tandon, who found entertaining company in Siddharth Kannan (who, by the way, also sang his heart out!).
Seafood and other delights made their rounds along with some spirited liquids that lubricated the throat and made you sing one more song. Also enjoying the homely sing-song feel and camaraderie was Asif Adil. At the stroke of midnight a cake was cut and everyone had their cake and ate it too.
