Ghai's special guest!

A R Rahman got famous singing ���Maa, tujhe salaam���... of course, that was a song dedicated to his motherland.
But on Thursday afternoon, his real mother, Karima Begum, made a public appearance for the first time and graced this film event. She was the special guest at the music release of an upcoming Bollywood blockbuster.
Of course her son was present as well, seen in the creative company of Gulzar and the film���s director Subhash Ghai.Subhash���s wife Rehana was there too, by her husband���s side. Producer Manish Goswami, singer Alka Yagnik, Manmohan Shetty, music composers-cum-directors Abbas-Mastan, designer Anna Singh, artist Suketu Parikh and Atul and Alvira Agnihotri were among the other guests present. Of course, everyone was excited to meet the woman behind India���s most esteemed music composer and singer, and she, on her part, enjoyed herself to the fullest.
