A
Hoopnotism
workshop at
Andheri
had fitness freaks enjoying a fun
Hula Hoop
session. Participants ranging from the ages five to 50 were seen enjoying twirling around the hoops.
For those who didn't know how to
hula
hoop their were instructors to train them to learn. Once they got the basics right, it was an easy task and then it was no stopping them. While children were eager to learn and grasped it faster, even the adults keen on doing it were seen practising with interest.
Known to be good for health and fitness, hula hooping adds to the fun quotient and is the perfect indoor exercise routine for the rainy days. It is best for the entire body but most beneficial for the ab muscles. After few rounds of learning the participants were enjoying with catchy music in the background and it was almost like a dance session.
Elaborating on us why she named the workshop 'Hoopnotism',
Ishita Sharma who organised the event says, "Once you get into the action of doing it, the repeated moves make one go into a trance and works like hypnotism. It is thus meditative and acts as a stress buster."
