As an athlete, fitness is something that tennis champ Sania Mirza has always focussed on. And now she will inspire more people to jump on the fitness bandwagon. Country Club India Ltd has signed her as the brand ambassador for its new fitness venture ‘Country Club Fitness’. At an event held in Mumbai recently, Sania was present along with Rajeev Reddy, chairman and managing director CCIL, Siddharth Reddy, CEO CCIL and Varun Reddy, COO CCIL. Speaking at the event, Rajeev Reddy said, “Sania is considered the youth icon of India and is always in the news for her achievements, her positive attitude and determination. This is exactly the person we want representing us as she embodies all that our brand stands for.”
Sania added, “Country Club India is a home grown global brand that I have grown up watching. Growing up, I played a lot of tennis at the Country Club in Hyderabad. It is a remarkable success story that every Indian should be proud of. As I spend a lot of time at the gym, fitness is something that I understand and I am happy to be the brand ambassador of Country Club Fitness. I look forward to spreading their message of Fitness.”
Country Club fitness has just launched its 11th and 12th location at Pheonix Market City, Pune, and
R City Mall, Ghatkopar. In Mumbai it currently operates fitness centers at Juhu, Thane, Phoenix Market City Kurla, R City Mall, Ghatkopar apart from Andheri West and Kandivali. This is all part of CCIL’s Rs 350 crore expansion plan that aims at creating more than 100 fitness centres globally. All members can use the fitness centers as part of their membership without any additional fee. The club has also introduced Zumba and Pilates at its fitness centers.
