Festive collection preview takes place in the city; Shibani Kashyap, Anaida Parvaneh turn muse

On Tuesday night, Mumbai’s fashion enthusiasts gathered in a posh location, at the exclusive preview of festive collection by noted fashion designer Salim Asgarally.
Celebrities like film maker Vinita Nanda , Kaushik Shrimankar, among others, were present for the fun-filled fashion night out. The collection, in collaboration with interior designer Ranjit Rodricks, was inspired by six muses: singers Anaida Parvaneh and Shibani Kashyap, DJ- choreographer and Emcee for the evening - Nisha Haraale, model-actor Sandhya Shetty, fashion choreographer Achala Sachdev and Cheryl Misquita.
Asgarally’s collection was also an ode to the deceased filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi, who passed away on September 23 owing to multiple organ failure.
Speaking about his latest collection, Asgarally said, “Nothing feels better than creating beautiful garments, especially when they are to be showcased by such beautiful & powerful women which my muses are ! & deeply saddened by the demise of my dear friend & mentor the late Ms Kalpana Lajmi, film director & writer, I dedicated this collection to her memory.”
Over the years, the designer has styled celebrities like Freida Pinto, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Simi Garewal, among others.
