What���s common between actor Emraan Hashmi and director Claire McCarthy? It���s certainly not just the fact that they were partying at Underground, The hhi, on Friday night.
Not that they bumped into each other either while letting their hair down. Well, what the two share is an Aussie connect. While Emraan is all set to begin shooting in Australia for his next movie, Claire is the director who has now returned to Kolkata to screen her debut Australian feature film (The Waiting City) that was shot in this city.Though Emraan didn���t know about this coincidence before he was told about Claire, he seemed quite excited about his forthcoming film on racism in Australia. ���Mohit (Suri) will be directing it. We are still finalising the script and it���s too early for me give any views on the racial attacks,��� he said. Remind him that there have been quite a few Bollywood directors who expressed reservations about shooting in Australia post the racism allegations and he said, ���I have no problems shooting in Australia. And in any case, my film will deal with a serious and pertinent issue.��� For Claire, who is always happy to talk about her love for India, and particularly Kolkata, such undiluted love for Australia surely calls for celebrations!
