Dhvani Bhanushali attends launch of covid isolation centre for the underprivileged

People are stepping up to do their bit in these

times and Dhvani Bhanushali, who has been actively involved in helping the sick and needy, recently did so as well. The Bollywood

singer

attended the launch of a covid

isolation centre

for the

underprivileged

. The free of cost centre was launched as an initiative of Ashia - Hope For Life foundation that’s co-founded by Aparna Shah and the

MCGM

. Also present was Mayor of Mumbai, Kishori Pednekar.
The 140-bed centre will be open free of cost to any covid-positive patient with mild or moderate symptoms, who are underprivileged and don’t have the means to isolate themselves at their home. It has 70 rooms with twin beds and a private bathroom in each room.

Dhvani Bhanushali shared a few words on the occasion. She said, “I was very grateful when I was invited for this launch. Most affected in these times are the underprivileged who cannot afford even basic facilities. When Aparna and Vishal approached me to lend my support to their foundation, I instantly knew this was something that will truly make a difference and I wanted to be part of it. The facility is great and such a

covid

isolation centre which is free of cost for the under privileged is surely the call of the day. It made me very happy to be a part of this cause along with the honorable mayor of Mumbai. We have to unite to fight the pandemic and take care of our country as well as the rest of the world.”
