The innovative designs and chic outfits showcased by the students in four different sets were applauded by everyone.

The collection by Aksshaya Venkat, titled Chitra Varnan, Greek-o-Bohemian, was about hand painted Kalamkari inspired from the tree of life. The clothes were about demure leather weaving, silk and laser cutting and the Greco-Bohemian made a statement.

Ankita Aggarwal and Divya Karan’s collection Kashish was about High Street Fashion and had block printed ajrakh in indigo and maroon along with hand embroidered Lucknowi Chikankari. The student designer duo showcased modern cuts in high street ensembles with two stalwart traditional handicrafts.
The next part of the show was structured resort wear titled Punar Kala by student designer Sejal Thakurr. The hand-braided chindi from native Maharashtra, paired with vibrant colours of hand spun khadi showcased the merging of traditional and modern.

The last set was by Amit Shil and this avant-garde collection was called Nishabdh. The finest Fulwar Jamdani with 3D Kirigami pleats in accordion pattern had a zen appeal and created a bold and emphatic

style

. The structured silhouettes, overemphasized sleeves pushed boundaries of accepted style.
