On the auspicious occasion of Maharashtra day, Dean Jones former Australian cricketer and an expert on the panel of a sports channel along with actors

Akshar Kothari

and

Aetashaa Sansgiri

, visited

Azad Maidan

and other prominent locations in Mumbai, to be a part of the day’s commemoration. He was surrounded by children who were training at the ground and the cricketer was seen giving them tips and posing with them for pictures too.

As part of the outing, Jones enjoyed typical Maharashtrian delicacies like Thalipeeth and

Misal Pao

whilst trying his hand at learning Marathi as well.

Talking about his experience, Jones said “I have always enjoyed experiencing different cultures. In India, cricket is worshiped, and is very much a part of the country's diverse culture. On Maharashtra Day all of it came together - cricket, and food with a Maharashtrian flavour. Playing cricket in the renowned Azad Maidan with young cricketers and spotting some budding talent made the day even more remarkable."
