Daler Mehndi at Qutub festival

Daler Mehndi performed at the Qutub festival recently along with his troupe. Sheila Dikshit, who had come with her family to enjoy the music, was in a rather sombre mood.
Daler took to the stage with his popular numbers like “Bolo Tara Ra Ra” and “Main Dardi Rab Rab”. Surprisingly, the audience broke into bhangra moves even on this decade old song. The years don’t mean a thing when it comes to music, eh?
In yet another evening at the Qutub, Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar and Sadhna Sargam enthralled Delhiites and games guests alike.Amit crooned songs like “Pyaar Humein Kis More Pe Le Aaya” and “Pyaar Baatte Chalo”, while enacting his father’s antics on the stage.
His tempo gave way to Sadhna’s soft and melodious numbers, but, it seems that the guests were in the mood for peppier music. Sensing the audience’s reaction, Sadhna promptly belted out a few snazzy numbers. Rina Ray, the brain behind the Festival, too was present.
