The 11th Mumbai Film Festival ���09 is all set to host its annual film-fest in aamchi Mumbai, and the announcement of the same was made at a power-packed afternoon on Tuesday.
While chairman Shyam Benegal could not be present on the occasion, his able committee members Yash Chopra, Amit Khanna, Shabana Azmi and Amol Palekar held fort and shed ample light on what promises to be a thrilling roller-coaster ride of all things cinematic.
Khanna unveiled the contents of the Festival ��� from workshops, open forums and screenings of national and international films ��� movie-holics in Mumbai have a lot to look forward to! Yash Chopra, who was applauded for his smash-hit blockbuster having completed 15 years of a successful run that day, explained the financial dynamics that go into making and marketing a film. ���Festivals like these provide a great platform to young, latent talent, which our industry always welcomes with open arms,��� remarked Yashji.
Shabana made a vocal panellist as she exulted about how Bollywood has glamour and only needs a bit more marketing to reach the international level; reminisced about the yesteryears and revealed the name of the originator of the term Bollywood saying ���it was none other than Mr Amit Khanna!��� Energy and excitement abounded here... filmi fever at its best!
