China, India, cricket, fashion....

The Chinese weren���t here, but their maal was, at this fashion soiree hosted by Samir and Shivani Mehta and Devaunshi Mehta on Wednesday evening.
The evening celebrated Shanghai���s leading luxury brand���s introduction to India through a trunk show at Articullate art gallery. , Fort , Mumbai on November 19th, 2008. Yash and Avanti Birla of the gallery were there, playing co-hosts as models Mashoom Singha and Andressa modelled the creations while the range of guests mingled over fashion, wine and cheese.
It was the fusion of Chinese culture with contemporary elements of style that the fashionable set present here liked.
Always one to make a fashion statement of her own, Haseena Jethmalani was there, as were Surily Goel, Nisha Jamvwal, Anoop Mehta, Amit Gaur, Mallika Sagar Advani and Anil Dharker. And surprise, surprise, cricket���s latest icon Lalit Modi was there too... he is Samir Modi���s brother. Fashion met cricket, even as China made an impression on India!
