Cheers for Marathi!
It was a perfect Marathi night out.
Finance Minister Jayant Patil did the honours by lighting the traditional lamp and prominent personalities including Deepa Awchat and Kishori Amonkar were felicitated.
Jeetendra was amongst the early ones to arrive and showered his love and affection for Maharashtra. Also seen were Sharmila Thackeray, Raza Murad along with his wife and Gauri Karnik. Mayor Shubha Raul was seen cheering the performers right through the evening and was also constantly sharing notes with Rashmi Thackeray. Madhur Bhandarkar was glued to the proceedings on stage.
