Cheer on a rainy evening
On a cold, pouring evening in SoBo, there were many warm people who still made it a point to attend an evening to spread some cheer.
On the 57th Founders Day celebration of the Indian Cancer Society, art curator Praveena Mecklai exhibited a number of bright works by 20 leading artists with a message Hope and Cheer; the exhibition will benefit children affected with cancer.

Displaying beautiful works in different genres from abstract to figurative using mediums like canvas, paper, acrylic and water colours, the show turned out to be meeting point of many creative conversations.
While artist Nayanaa V Kanodia spoke of her naive art form, she gushed about the fact that children must be taken to galleries where art would subconsciously influence them. Artist Krishna Pulkundwar felt that faith needs to be strong to move towards hope, while artist Charan Sharma with his signature ponytail too vouched for the same.
Anil Chopra, who had come especially to view the works, found the painting by Samir Mondal very attractive. Just then, Jimi Kapur walked in and both exchanged pleasantries.
Later, Jimi and Vinod Advani chatted on a subject that made both of them smile. And supporting his wife, as always, in more ways than one was Jamal Mecklai who chose to match his shirt with wife Praveenas blue earrings! The couple played perfect hosts making everyone feel comfortable.
