Another night that celebrated the success of another television show with a host of names from Bollywood, the entertainment world and the political world.
Nitin Chandrakant Desai hosted the affair on Thursday and spoke about the show and its content. And since it dealt with the Maratha warrior Shivaji Maharaj, the evening celebrated the Maratha traditions — there was a special tutari welcome for the guests, the women wore traditional sarees (Neeta Lulla looked stunning in a golden one) and the venue replicated Shivaji Maharaj’s era, complete with a decorated palkhi as well.
Yes, the cast and crew of the show were present as were other eminent guests including Raj and Sharmila Thackeray, Babasaheb Purandare, Sambhaji Raje Bhosale, Sunil Tatkare, Mrinal Kulkarni, Yatin Karyekar and filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar, Rajkumar Hirani and Ashutosh Gowariker.
