Celebs at a rainy fashion do!

The downpour on Wednesday evening couldn’t have come at a better time. As enclosed in the warm interiors of the Fuel store at Chowpatty, young and talented designer Sonya Vajifdar launched her collection of stylish rainwear.
Falguni and Sushil Jhaveri played gracious hosts as guests braved the rains and stepped in to check out some of the colourful and innovative rain jackets on display.Shaan Khanna and Arjun Mathur made a quick entry and exit. Model Namrata Sharma tried on a vibrant polka dotted rain jacket that matched with her neon green heels, while Deepti Gujral went for a transparent one. Scherezade Shroff and Sanea Sheikh were heard talking about the recent Viveka Babaji tragedy. Shazahn Padamsee, who said she’s just back from completing films down South, came to support school friend Sonya and said she thinks her garments have a youthful edge. Kamal Sidhu, who made a social appearance after a while, was impressed with the collection and came with friend Sooni Taraporevala. Present with daughter Iyanah, Sooni who caught up over hot chai with the designer’s parents, said she has some new film and scripts lined up but nothing about the Parsis this time.
