Bollywood's tricoloured day in Mumbai
Harman Baweja, Amrita Rao, Suniel Shetty and Jiah Khan were present for a Republic Day cultural event hosted by the Women’s wing of the Bharat Jain Mahamandal at the Birla Matoshree.
Child artistes Tanay Chheda and Ashutosh Gajiwala (of Taare Zameen Par and Slumdog Millionaire respectively) also graced the event. A peace lamp was lit, and Harman, dressed in a white kurta-pyjama was peace personified as he interacted with the children and adults alike.

The entire hall later shared a moment of silence in remembrance of the 26/11 victims. Suniel said that he will always be there for the cause of secularism and cutting communal barriers in the name of peace.
Amrita enthusiastically spoke about how we can move forward as a nation; and Jiah was thrilled to be there, but with all the shudh Hindi being spoken, she asked, ‘Can I get subtitles or a translator?’ which lead to squeals of laughter in the audience. Tricoloured pins, the tricoloured flag and a whole lot of love and patriotism summed up this event.
