Bollywood turned out in large numbers to felicitate their teacher and guru Roshan Taneja.
Shashi and Anu Ranjan organised a special evening to commemorate the completion of 45 years of Roshan Taneja as the acting mahaguru, and Taneja’s students including Shashi himself,

Gulshan Grover, Kanwaljeet, Rakesh Bedi, Raza Murad, Gajendra Chauhan, JD Majethia,

Poonam Dhillon, Rajev Paul, Rehana Sultan, Reshma Modi, Rita Bhaduri, Satish Shah, Shailendra Singh, Sudhir Pandey, Tom Alter, Tushar Kapoor, Zareena Wahab, Anil Dhawan, Rameshwari were all present.

Anil Kapoor were also present. A special audio-visual was played with emotional messages from actor-students who were unable to attend the event.
Shatrughan Sinha and his son Luv came in together to wish their guru. Shatrughan spoke of how his dialogue “Khamosh” is repeated everywhere he goes: “My style of speaking and voice is copied, to the extent my hairstyle and moustache are also aped by people. So I think I succeeded in being different thanks to Roshanji’s advice,” said Shotgun.
Taneja who was very touched said, “I am overwhelmed. I have enjoyed these last 45 years being amongst talented people, helping them hone their acting skills. Because of these students I feel that I am the richest person in the world today.”
