Big B and Rani at Pune Film Festival

The inauguration ceremony of 10th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) was a star-studded event with B-town celebrities making their presence felt in a big way.
The glitzy line-up of stars included Amitabh Bachchan, Asha Bhosle, Rani Mukerji, music director Ilaiyaraaja, popular Marathi star Sachin Pilgaonkar and veteran actor Dr Shriram Lagoo. While Asha Bhosle and Sachin were the early birds, Rani Mukerji, who looked pretty and stunning in the Marathi ‘mulgi’ attire, came in late.Also present were the CP Meeran Borwankar and Minister Sanjay Deotale.
For a glimpse of Big B! The crowd outside the venue, went out of control when they caught Amitabh Bachchan’s car drive into the venue. As soon as he arrived, a local band Bajaa troupe greeted him by playing the song from his film Don Are Deewano Mujhe Pehchano. Doning a black suit, Big B looked dashing and suave as ever. Dr Jabbar Patel, chairman and director of PIFF, hosted a party for later in the evening, which was attended by quite as few renowned personalities from the city.
